Riverina Agriculture Tour
October 22, 2023 - November 7, 2023
John and Tracey are organising an Agriculture Tour of the Riverina area. The tour is a semi-guided tour of different agriculture operations. The tour is organised by the Riverina Agriculture Tours, we will be accompanied by one of the tour guides to most locations where we will also meet the farmer.
This is a paid tour where we will be visiting some Farms and Agricultural locations that are not normally open to individual tourists.
The trip is suitable for Caravans and Camper Trailers, but no dogs please. We will be staying mostly in Caravan Parks.
We will have the opportunity to visit the following operations:
- Rose farm
- Hazelnut and Blueberry Farm
- Eucalyptus Plantation
- Apple Orchard
- Glass gallery
- Sheep and Lamb sales yard (during a sale)
- Sheep and Hay Farm
- Wool Broker
- Jujube, Prune, and Vegetable Farm
- Olive Grove and Winery
- Wheat and Barley Farm
- Large Farm Machinery Dealership
- Casella Family Winery (No cellar door)
- Murray Cod Fish Farm
- Naturally Dried Prunes
- Cotton Gin
- Gogeldrie Weir Irrigation Operation
- Taste of Leeton
- Citrus Farm, pick your own
- Almond Farm
- Yanco Agricultural Research Station
- Leeton Farmers Market
- Cherry Picking (depending on ripening).
The cost of visits to the above depends on the number of people in our group. I am expecting a cost of approx. $170 per person for all the above tours/visits, that is $10 per day for the trip.
Numbers for this trip will be strictly limited due to the maximum number of visitors to some of the sites.
This trip is expected to fill quickly, if you are interested, please contact John and Tracey now for more information or to join the trip.
Note: Grade E are easy off-road trips where recovery is most unlikely, suitable for new members, suitable for Evoque or Freelander models.
