Grade:  D

Leader:  Jim Nicholson

This is a great day out following a set route through the Hawkesbury district north-west of Sydney. Participants will enter as a vehicle team, made up of a driver and at least one observer.  Teams will set out from the starting point and proceed on the trail following the written driving instructions.

Along the way, teams will be asked questions about their surroundings and observers will record the team's answers.  Along the trail, spots will be identified for morning tea, lunch and at the end of the trail, answer forms will be marked and we will have a ceremony (and afternoon tea) to recognise the team with the most correct answers.

It's not a race and it's definitely not timed, just a fun day out where Club members can get together to enjoy a leisurely trip through the beautiful and historic Hawkesbury countryside.

Start getting your team together now!  Contact Jim for more information or to register your team.

Good bush camping is provided, with bush toilets, a hot water shower and fire wood. Suitable for camper trailers if towed by a 4WD (i.e., low range and high clearance), but not caravans.

Day trips are planned to nearby points of interest including Glen Davis, Sofala, Turon NP, Capertee NP, Dunns Swamp as well as events on the property itself such as a motorkhana and a maintenance day. Prizes will be awarded across various categories.

The event is open to non-Club members, though contact Patrick for insurance formalities.
